Climate Ready Program

Enhanced Project By-law Scheme (EPBS)

The program is a competitive grants program providing grants matching funding basis to support R&D, proof-of-concept & commercialisation activities to develop solutions to climate change challenges. 

 

EPBS provides tariff duty concessions on eligible capital goods for major investment projects.

Ethanol Production Grants (EPG)

Green Building Fund

The EPG program is an eligibility-based program; its objective is to encourage the use of biofuels (specifically ethanol) in transport in Australia.  

The initiative is designed to help Australian businesses implement cost saving energy efficiency measures through retrofitting and retro-commissioning of existing commercial buildings, hotels and shopping centres.

 

LPG Vehicle Scheme

Renewable Energy Equity Fund (REEF)

The LPG Vehicle Scheme assists private use motorists with the purchase of a new LPG vehicle or the conversion of a petrol or diesel vehicle to LPG.

The REEF program provides venture capital to assist small companies with the commercialisation of research and development (R&D) activities in renewable energy technologies.


 

Re-tooling for Climate Change

Cleaner Car Rebate (CCR)
The program is targeted at assisting Australian manufacturers improve their production processes, reduce their energy use and cut carbon emissions.

The Cleaner Car Rebate scheme was announced by the Prime Minister in July 2010 to provide a $2,000 rebate to new car purchasers who scrap their pre-1995 passenger vehicle and purchase an eligible new, low emission, fuel efficient passenger vehicle.

On 27 January 2011, the Prime Minister announced the government will not proceed with the Cleaner Car Rebate scheme as part of saving measures to support the rebuilding of flood affected areas across Australia.
