Project descriptions for the successful applicants have been placed on this website.
Background: 12 May 2009 – The Small Business Online program was announced in the 2009-10 Budget.
19 January 2010 - The Hon Dr Craig Emerson MP Minister for Small Business and The Hon Martin Ferguson MP Minister for Tourism issued a joint media release to announce the successful applicants who will deliver services under the Small Business Online program.
The grants, totalling $14 million, have been provided to eligible organisations to build the capacity of small businesses. These organisations will help small businesses to go online by offering training seminars on e-business, advice on establishing an online presence and the development of other e-business resources.
Being active in the online space will enable small businesses to take up the vast array of opportunities that engaging in the digital economy can offer, including the enormous benefits that will flow from the Government’s National Broadband Network. Funding will be available for the program to 30 June 2011.
